Management & Training Corporation Physician, part-time in Chaparral, New Mexico

MTC is seeking a part-time (20-hours) Physician for the Otero County Prison Facility in Chaparral, NM.

This is a permanent, long-term position with flexible hours during the week.

Start Date: Pending background approval which can take a few weeksContract: Permanent, direct positionCall: Split between physicians and mid-levels and fairly rareShift: Flexible to days/hours worked as long as it's during the week.

In this ambulatory-like setting, you will be responsible for providing medical services related to diagnosis and treatment of patients, ensure that appropriate healthcare is accessible and provided in a timely fashion, render medical judgment regarding care provided to patients.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Possession of a valid certificate issued by the American Board of Family Medicine (or Osteopathic Family Medicine) or the American Board of Internal Medicine (or Osteopathic Internal Medicine); or admissibility to an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine specialty examination as evidenced by a written statement from the Secretary of the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Board of Internal Medicine. Valid, unencumbered license to practice medicine in the state of New Mexico and current continuing education required by MTC Medical and professional regulatory board. Current DEA and current BLS certification. Valid driver’s license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
