AT&T Project Manager (IT-IA-IM Program/Project Manager Level II) (Government) in Chantilly, Virginia

Our National Security Team supports the Intelligence Community by providing, operating and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.

AT&T has an opening for a Project Manager (PjM) to support the National Security Sector, in providing information technology upgrades.

The job duties of the Project Manager are as follows:

  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendations for Request for Change (RFC) requirements to ensure alignment with established network service delivery objectives

  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendations for Non-Standard Service Request (NSSR) requirements to ensure alignment with established network service delivery objectives

  • Evaluate customer requirements to ensure clarity of the requested network service needs are detailed or send the customer(s) requests for information (RFIs) to gain clarity

  • Provide network systems engineering assessment based on clearly defined network standard requirements

  • Coordinate across multiple network service teams to successfully assess network technical requirements

  • Provide cost and schedule impacts based on established cost and schedule models and negotiate technical trade-offs where applicable to successfully deliver completed cost/schedule impacts

  • Collaborate with team members to support process workflows and engineering review boards that facilitate network service delivery

  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

  • Prepare required documentation to include both program- and user-level documentation.

  • Construct sound, logical business improvement opportunities consistent with customer guidance and principles, cost savings, and system architecture objectives

  • Analyze and study complex system requirements

  • Work directly with Task Lead, PjMs, and occasionally with the customer to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The candidate will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors towards the flawless execution of projects

  • Assist in the development of detailed project plans and help monitor and track progress. Assist PjMs with measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Prepare project status reports to upper management and identification of courses of action to remove roadblocks

  • Work with PjMs to identify/mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities

  • Provide support such as technical writing, technical editing of word processing and other computer-based documents, integration of various sources into a cohesive product which may be delivered as computer-based magnetic media or preparation of graphical and narrative presentation material

  • Support tasks requiring the collecting, compiling, evaluating, and publishing of information and statistical data in documents, records, forms, reports, plans, policies, regulations

  • Maintain correspondence suspense files, records, files for reports, operating procedures, internal memorandums, and composes correspondence

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications: The candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a doctorate and 3 years of experience OR master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS and 10 years. Required qualifications include the following:

  • Experience working in a team environment within a professional office setting.

  • Solid organizational skills including attention-to-detail and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Network IT infrastructure (network connectivity, switches, routers).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

  • Demonstrated client-facing and internal communications skills and ability to manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

  • Strong working knowledge of Visio.

  • Experience using Atlassian Confluence and HelpNow/ServiceNow.

Our Project Manager (IT-IA-IM Program/Project Manager Level II) (Government) earns between $89,200 - $160,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
