Amentum Facilities Operations Manager in Chantilly, Virginia
Amentum is currently seeking a Facilities Operations Manager in Northern, Virginia. This position is contingent upon position availability/approval. The Facilities Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations including operations and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and utilities. Ensures all site operations are in compliance with the goals of the customer and according to company policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform functions to plan, manage, control, direct and coordinate the overall activities of Facilities, Systems, Equipment and Utilities to fulfill work requirements. Provide leadership to engineers, supervisors and technicians who exercise full responsibility for all technical, administrative, and coordination functions. Establish and monitor assigned systems and program elements (e.g. Reliability Centered Maintenance, Predictive Testing & Inspection, Work Implementation and Surveillance, System Performance and Metrics, Operability Determination, Configuration Control, Energy Conservation & Management, etc.) to ensure that they meet customer and user expectations in system performance, operability, reliability, quality, and schedule requirements. Provide overall guidance to functional and operational areas of responsibility to ensure Safety and environmental compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, programs or contractual requirements, working within the limits of established policy, procedures and implementing instructions. Responsible for the implementation of sound financial programs, ensuring that operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
The Facility Operations Manager shall possess, as a minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural), or another related field.
Seven years’ experience managing all aspects of building operations; five years of which shall have been with a contract of similar size and scope.
Working knowledge of all trades.
Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing trades teams.
Experience in clearly communicating (verbal and written) facility operations events.
Active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance with polygraph is required at time of application
Preferred Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
It is preferred that the Facility Operations Manager possess experience in the following:
- Industry recognized certification in Program and/or Project Management or Facility Management.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
