Insight Global UX Designer - eCommerce in Chanhassen, Minnesota
As a UX Designer - eCommerce, you will ensure our clients products are valuable, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. Life Time designers work collaboratively across our web applications and native apps to create a cohesive omni-channel customer experience. The Experience Designer will advocate for our client's end user by using Design Thinking to help create effective brand experiences. They will work with cross-functional teams to drive strategies and execute experience design to best meet the needs across all channels and touchpoints. The Experience Designer is an integral team member who may lead, work collaboratively, or work independently through each phase of the project with business partners, creative teams, developers and end users. The role is involved in executing competitive analysis, leveraging analytics, and user research to create best in class experiences, with opportunities to get rapid feedback on prototypes to validate and inform design decisions. They may be asked to execute on a variety of initiatives from; overall user flow improvements, seasonal marketing asks, landing pages for paid media, Loyalty program marketing and redemption flows.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Innovation/Transformation: Work directly with business partners, marketers, and developers to establish a vision and turn that vision into a roadmap, understanding exactly who the users are and describing their goals and behaviors. Lead requirements-gathering and ideation sessions with partners to document and translate potential experiences as user flows, customer journeys, pilots, etc.
-Discovery: Explore current state and opportunities to build our client's brand by utilizing user research, analytics, consumer trends, and competitive assessment. Balance addressing the specific needs of a project and how the work should fit into the company ecosystem and customers' lives. Create and validate hypotheses with prototype development and iterative testing.
-Definition: Turn the high-level project scope and vision into an actionable plan through the gathering of business and user requirements, creating high-level user flows, concepts, and testing with users. Ensure consistency across consumer journey and touchpoints.
-Design/Delivery: Conduct the work and mentor product, technology, and marketing teams in understanding and executing against the experience strategies, project definition and the brand ecosystem. Ensure adherence to project scope and the established patterns and design language. Confidently communicate business requirements, participate in user testing, create wire frames and functional prototypes, and more.
-Optimization: Work with product, research, and marketing teams to review analytics and user feedback to generate opportunities, enhancements and insights that can drive creative work.
-Thought Leadership/Subject Matter Expertise: Be an expert in one or more subject areas and own responsibility to establish and drive best practices and education around that subject. Be a champion for new ideas, our client's brand and methodologies around those subjects and processes.
Skills and Requirements
-5+ years of related design and interactive work experience
-Experience in e-commerce and B2C communications and sales
-Experience with Figma or similar design tool
-Experience with Magento or similar eCommerce platform
-Advocate and leverage user-centered design philosophy, and best practices (i.e. patterns, design systems, accessibility)
-Solution-oriented mindset -- creative use of technology and alternative approaches
-Strong communicator -- able to interview and extract business goals versus prescribed solutions -Experience with Adobe suite
-Experience with Mural or similar visual work platform
-UX or Product Certification
-Additional skills (i.e. visual design, front end development, marketing, quality assurance, SEO, copywriting, business analysis) are nice to have
-Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience null
