Job Responsibilities:

  • As a Finisher in our label printing company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of labels produced. You will be responsible for operating finishing equipment, conducting quality checks, and preparing labels for packaging and distribution. Your meticulous attention to detail and your ability to maintain the highest quality standards are essential for the success of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Finishing Operations: Operate and maintain finishing equipment, such as cutting machines, trimmers, and laminators, to process printed labels according to job specifications.
  • Quality Control: Conduct rigorous quality checks on finished labels to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.Identify and address any defects or deviations from customer requirements.
  • Precision Cutting and Trimming: Carefully and accurately cut and trim labels to the required size and shape, maintaining consistency and precision.
  • Material Handling: Properly load and unload label materials onto finishing equipment, ensuring efficient material organization and minimal waste.
  • Job Scheduling: Follow production schedules, prioritize finishing tasks, and meet deadlines while communicating any delays or issues to supervisors.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain awareness of environmental and safety regulations in the finishing process, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with finishing equipment and collaborate with maintenance or technical support teams to address and resolve problems.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of finished label quantities, quality checks, and equipment maintenance to support quality control and process improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, including quality control inspectors, production staff, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and consistent quality of finished labels.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to relay information about production issues, equipment malfunctions, and job progress to supervisors and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: The capacity to carefully follow job orders and technical specifications to ensure labels meet customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Physical Stamina: The physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Problem Prevention: Proactive measures to identify potential issues, make adjustments to prevent errors, and enhance efficiency in the finishing process.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Knowledge of and adherence to environmental sustainability practices and regulations relevant to the label printing industry.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in production schedules, equipment, and industry standards to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Data Entry into CERM: Ability to input data efficiently and accurately into production software.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in printing technology or finishing is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a finisher in a label printing or related manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating finishing equipment and related tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision to ensure labels are accurately cut and trimmed.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and be t practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Adaptability to changing production schedules and priorities.
  • Proficient use of keyboard and ability to enter data into production program.
