Job Title: Construction Foreman

Job Description

The Construction Foreman will work collaboratively with the project team to ensure the success of all projects. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with local building officials, lead daily task assignment meetings, and manage site staff time entries. Additionally, you will schedule materials, tools, equipment, and manpower several weeks in advance, and provide guidance and leadership to the onsite team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a constructive relationship with local building officials.

  • Conduct task assignment meetings with employees at the start of the workday.

  • Enter time for site staff on a daily basis.

  • Schedule materials, tools, equipment, and manpower several weeks in advance.

  • Provide guidance, leadership, and a positive attitude for the onsite team.

  • Assist the Project Manager with project schedule preparation and updates.

  • Prepare detailed weekly look-ahead schedules for all trades involved.

  • Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, and owner's work.

  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings with all subcontractors on site.

  • Attend pre-installation and progress meetings with subcontractors.

  • Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets contract documents and industry standards.

  • Manage change orders and ensure they are incorporated into the work.

  • Verify that all onsite subcontractors and vendors are working from current drawings and specifications.

  • Schedule and coordinate the timely delivery of equipment and materials.

  • Complete detailed daily reports and weekly photos in project management software.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and take immediate action to address unsafe conditions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of construction experience

  • Construction management

  • Blueprint reading and execution

  • Commercial construction supervision

  • Subcontractor management

  • Carpentry

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $52.00/hr.
