Production Associate
Reports to: Plant Supervisor
McIntosh Box and Pallet in Central Square, Bernard's Bay, and East Syracuse is seeking Production Associates. McIntosh is a packaging company that has been in business for over 58 years with 400+ employees across twelve locations throughout the United States. They are experiencing strong growth and need to expand their team. They are looking for motivated and driven individuals to join their team.
Appropriate candidates are technically skilled individuals with excellent attention to detail for the position of Production Associate. This position will work with wood processing equipment to cut material and build pallets and skids. This role will also be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will be built properly, safely, and efficiently, and material always is at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and a team player.
Duties:
- Run wood processing equipment such as Cut-Off saws, Notchers, and Stake Pointers
- Build specialty pallets and skids
- May operate a forklift
- Perform maintenance on equipment such as changing blades and greasing
- Keep production areas clean and organized
- Adhere to safety management standards
- Comply with company policies and safety guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
- Operate and manage technical equipment
Required Skills:
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and reliable
- Eagerness to learn
- Nail guns and saws experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Likes to work with hands
