POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist – Paid Search is a highly skilled, initiative-taking digital superstar that supports a designated division of Bio-Techne, driving paid search success and revenue growth for a robust portfolio of 500K+ products. Our ideal team member will have extensive experience understanding cross-channel digital marketing strategies, plus managing and optimizing paid search campaigns across Google/Bing ads. They are a self-starter and comfortable contributing cross-functionally to help drive recommendations to drive business objectives. They present their ideas during team meetings, strategy planning sessions and can lead discussions for paid search recommendations within the broader digital marketing group as well as the division. The Sr. Specialist stays ahead of the latest technologies and trends, and consistently tests new things to refine the paid digital strategy based on best performance to achieve business unit goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Define and execute paid digital marketing strategy of moderate/high complexity across search, display, video, etc.

  • Measure and report performance of all paid digital campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

  • Collaborate with business unit and digital team on new and creative paid strategies to support growth

  • Conduct keyword research and optimize across various business units to ensure ads target the appropriate terms

  • Produce content recommendations for new and existing ads in addition to landing pages

  • Provide creative direction for video and display assets

  • Build new campaigns, evaluates performance, and finds opportunities for optimizations in paid search platforms

  • Assist in training and serve as a lead SEM resource for Digital Marketing Specialists

  • Work with channel manager and cross-functionally to prioritize paid digital efforts, ensuring priorities are executed in a timely manner

  • Responsible for presenting paid search performance, strategic optimization and growth opportunities to key stakeholders and leaders

  • Identify and create plans for implementing process improvements

  • Demonstrate EPIC values in daily work

  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • This position requires a B.A./B.S. degree and 3-6 years of professional experience or a combination of education, experience and training which provides the necessary background for performing the work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Google Ads certifications required for search and display network

  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics 4, certification required

  • Direct experience managing and optimizing multiple accounts with extensive sets of ad groups, ads and keywords

  • Strong core strength in analytics and developing data driven strategies

  • Ability to analyze data, measuring and reporting on KPIs, and executing on recommendations

  • Effective communication and relationship building skills across broader teams and with key business stakeholders

  • Comfortable writing and/or reviewing ad copy with the ability to adjust based on performance insights

  • Ability to work in an agile, collaborative team environment

  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions with little oversight from management

  • Ability to independently troubleshoot issues of moderate complexity

  • Passionate about staying up to date on newest paid digital trends and a curiosity for testing new ideas

  • Previous experience in search engine optimization with a strong understanding of SEO/SEM cross-channel strategy

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, trends, and tools

  • Familiarity with optimizing landing pages and A/B testing preferred

  • Science background a plus, but not required
