This position is for a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer at our Cedar Rapids manufacturing location. The position will support manufacturing test and other manufacturing aspects. You will be tasked with evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing problems related to design, process and supplier issues. Successful candidates have familiarity with LEAN principles and processes.
What You Will Do:
Work with other Engineers to define and resolve complex technical issues that may drive change to the product or test process.
Analyze product, part, and test specifications as necessary to resolve electronic related problems.
Collaborate with Application Engineering, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve electronic component problems.
Provide failure analysis as necessary for the disposition of nonconforming parts and products.
Determine suitable replacements and test plans for part transitions.
Initiate Change Orders to revise documentation.
Analyze test data using statistical process control tools to proactively reduce test flow inhibitors.
Determine optimal test flow while considering cost constraints.
Develop working knowledge of test systems and hardware.
Analyze test equipment performance and reliability to establish solutions for decreasing equipment downtime.
Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and producibility improvement projects.
Provide technical assistance to test technicians.
Provide technical interpretation of product documentation.
Maintain control over Engineering Support costs.
Analyze existing test processes for cost reduction opportunities.
Review test plans to find improvement opportunities.
Assist with capacity planning and utilization analysis for test resources.

Develop validation plans for new test equipment.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Manufacturing and or electrical experience required.
Qualifications We Prefer:

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
