Tier 1/Tier 2 Desktop Engineer wanted in Cedar Knolls!

M-F with occasional weekends - hybrid work schedule
8:30-5:30

Responsibilities
The candidate would be part of the front-line response team touching nearly all tickets, email and support calls
Queue management, take ownership and responsibility of queries, issues and problems assigned to the queue
Provide customer service to clients on inbound phone calls and emails
Track these incidents and requests within the service desk management system
User Technology Support
Provide support for basic hardware/software/general technology questions/issues
Install, upgrade, and swap deskside hardware (computers, monitors, phones, headsets, scanners, webcams)
Proactive emails to users to apply software updates to laptops and mobile devices
Technology Team Administrative Support
Track and update asset data in asset control system
Assists with monthly inventory scan of laptops/desktops
Ensure Help Desk maintains adequate stock of key materials
Manage technology related purchase orders and receiving
Qualifications
3+ years supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining Windows, MacOS, mobile devices and related technologies
3+ years experience in service desk operations
Excellent verbal and written communications with an eye for detail
Highly skilled in documenting troubleshooting steps and creating knowledge base articles
A team player who can also work independently
Someone passionate about technology
A multi-tasker who is effective and patient under pressure
A problem solver who is able to prioritize
Experience with remote support tools
Technical certifications, for instance ITIL Certification or working towards completion, A+ Certification, Microsoft Certification (MCP or MD-100)
Learning new technologies as they are deployed
