Canyon View High School is seeking a Part Time Post Secondary Education Access Advisor Paraprofessional to work 27.5 hours per week beggining in August for the 2025-2026 school year.
*The Post Secondary Education Access Advisor Paraprofessional works with school principals and school counselors to support students' pursuit of career pathways, higher education and post graduate plans. Meets individually with students to discuss plans, support post graduation events and provide scholarship and financial aid information. *
*Provide information and support for students with higher education & financial aid systems. *
*Provide information and support for students with various Career Pathways *
Support all students in accessing and completing career pathways
*Meets individually with students to determine the best career pathway, follow-up on classes and plans, and encourage them along the way. *
Meet individually with seniors to discuss their plans and help them navigate the process of post secondary education, college admissions and financial aid
*Support the counseling center in hosting events including College Application Week, Utah Higher Education Day, FAFSA night, Decision Day, and college campus tours *
Act as the main organizer of scholarships, gather resources, send them to students and parents and help students apply for them
Inform and assist students with the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills
Strong organizational, time, and project management skills
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required
Operates various types of office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.
Complies with established district policies and procedures.
Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
