Small Business Administration Outreach and Marketing Specialist in Casper, Wyoming

Summary This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - Region VIII in Casper, WY. The Outreach and Marketing Specialist works with assigned groups, organizations, associations, coalitions, and partners who may benefit from the use of SBA programs and services. Responsibilities Salary Range GS-09 - $59,966 - $77,955 GS-011- $72,553 - $94,317 The Outreach and Marketing Specialist is responsible for; Building and maintaining a local network of collaborative partnerships: economic development practitioners in Federal, state, regional and local government, chambers of commerce, business and trade associations, financial institutions, educational institutions and civic/community organizations. Representing the SBA at a variety of public functions through outreach/presentations/trainings in order to educate the small business, lender and contracting community about SBA programs and services, and other small business-relevant topics. Advising and training on SBA programs. Assisting in conducting program evaluations, as well as monitoring awardee performance, ensuring that grantees comply with terms and conditions of award. Performing other duties as assigned. This is a developmental position. The position requires close supervision on new tasks and assignments, while carrying out non-complex recurring assignments independently. The incumbent serves as a member of the District Office Team in a defined developmental capacity. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: marketing through outreach, training and education to various organizations; and participating in outreach, training, presentations and education on a variety of business management and financial management topics; and providing support to senior staff to maintain alliances and partnerships with a variety of partners. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 09/25/2024. Education Education may not be substituted for experience for this position. If you do not meet the specialized experience requirements, you may also qualify with education. GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent degree related to the position to be filled (e.g. business, finance, accounting), or 2 years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M in an accredited college or university related to the position to be filled (i.e. business, finance, accounting). Combination of Experience and Education: GS-11: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1.5 full years of Ph.D. level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position. GS-11: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1.0 full year of Masters level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.
