This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc).

SUMMARY

Westerman, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a proven ability to troubleshoot advanced mechanical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. This position is responsible for preventative and mechanical maintenance and must possess advanced knowledge of machine repair. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.

  • Complete mechanical repairs and makes adjustments as needed.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.

  • Successfully troubleshoot mechanical problems.

  • Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.

  • Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Perform advanced electricity in order to work in maintenance field safely.

  • Other duties as required and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 0-1 years work experience in a related craft required

  • Basic math skills required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication required

  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver-s license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier and the Company-s Vehicle Use Policy

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing

  • Advanced mechanical, welding and cutting skills

  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints

  • Good problem-solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality

  • Have workbench and computer skills

  • Meter usage and ability to complete measurements

  • May require CPR and first aid training

  • Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training

  • Some aspects of this position may require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Driving is an essential function of this position; clean driving record is required.
