YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE ; this means you must have a current driver's license (not just an I.D.) without a large number of significant infractions (a CDL license is a bonus) and you must have your own cell phone.When we hire a new employee/driver, we are looking for someone that we think can ultimately become a team leader.**
**YOU WILL NEED TO CONSENT TO A PRE-EMPLOYMENT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK TO BE CONSIDERED ; as you might imagine, if you have a history of theft, larceny, BandE, forgery or other "trust" related crimes we cannot send you into our customers' homes to pack and move them. Also, any crimes related to weapons or physical violence against another person are problematic.
**YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY; we do moves five days a week. This does not necessarily mean that Saturdays are completely out, as we do work on Saturdays as needed. We also do some interstate work where crews are out for several nights moving people to and from other states, and occasionally we may have some Sunday jobs.
We are looking for strong, physically fit individuals with a professional appearance; that doesn't mean that if you have a piercing or ink it is necessarily a problem; it's more about your attitude and how you carry yourself. Please understand that this is extremely physically demanding work. You must be in exceptional physical condition for this position. We work in 100+ degree heat to -20 degree cold, moving heavy furniture and boxes all day long up and down stairs. You need to be determined and in great shape to do this job. We are serious about doing a great job. Starting pay $18.00 - $25.00, with verifiable industry experience!
