Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming Client Development Executive - Casper in Casper, Wyoming

GENERAL PURPOSE

Under close supervision and at the entry level:

  • Learn our sales process so that in the future this individual can generate sales in our 2 to 99 group market, non-group, life, and ancillary product lines of business per established production goals.
  • Maintain a high level of persistency throughout our lines of business.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales/corporate goals.
  • To personally bring service to our enrolled group, non-group, and ancillary product subscribers in a timely and professional manner.
  • To provide input to the Regional Business Executive as to customer needs and wants, competitive activity, market conditions, and the delivery of our products in terms of claims processing, billing, and customer service at the local account/subscriber level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES [Core 25b]

  • Works towards quality initiatives.
  • To satisfactorily update the prospecting database for each call (sales, service, or otherwise) made during the course of business, and to submit to the home office the completed Weekly Call Summary, prospecting, and pipeline reports on a timely basis. Reports for the current week's activity must be entered into the CRM no later than Friday of that week.
  • To conduct service related activities and to represent Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming to the community at large in a professional manner and in accordance with corporate guidelines at all times.
  • To develop an expert knowledge of the features, benefits, and advantages of our group, non-group, life, and ancillary products in order to professionally and effectively present them to prospects and subscribers alike.
  • To possess an understanding and working knowledge of the contents of our group and non-group contracts both as to benefit administration and the legal requirements and obligations under which we operate as found in the Group Master/Subscription Agreement.
  • To be familiar with and to conduct business activities in accordance with the current eligibility and underwriting guidelines as set forth in the Underwriting Manual, and to complete all Group Renewals and Compliance paperwork on a timely basis.
  • To attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled by management.

Client Development Executive Trainee Expectancies:

  • The Client Development Executive will complete all planning, reports, and assignments on a timely basis with skill, meaningful input, and positive direction.
  • The Client Development Executive will strive to accomplish the plans and goals as developed.
  • The Client Development Executive will utilize his/her best efforts to meet the goals assigned for production and persistency in each district.
  • The Client Development Executive will assist in ensuring that agents and brokers appointed by the Plan are representing BCBS of Wyoming in a manner consistent with our corporate objectives.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

None. Works under the supervision of the Regional Business Executive.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL and ABILITY: [Core 25b]

Ability to retain existing and procure new group, non-group, and allied lines business for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming through effective use of oral and written communication skills, sales technique, and a thorough knowledge of those products offered by the Plan and those of our competitors. Valid drivers license required.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, OR FORMAL TRAINING: [Core 25a and 25c]

Bachelor's Degree desired, preferably in the area of Marketing/Sales. Must be currently licensed to sell health insurance in Wyoming, or able to obtain within 3 months.

Current valid drivers license may be required.

EXPERIENCE: * **[Core 25b]

No prior experience in sales required.

Level I Four months to one year of work experience, typically in marketing or sales. Level II One to three years of work experience, typically in marketing or sales

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Automobile, Personal Computer and associated word processing, data base, and spreadsheet programs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Works in a pleasant office environment. Job activities include public speaking, driving, writing, typing, use of a calculator. Moderate to high stress with defined performance goals. Automobile travel is required.

Access to PHI is broad due to job function and the requirements of responding to the needs of the client. PHI located in the processing system is limited to the attached and information provided by other departments that is integral to job functions.
