Howmet Aerospace Financial Controller (Finance Manager) in Casablanca, Morocco
Howmet Fixations Casablanca is seeking for Financial Controller
Major Activities:
Facilitate monthly on-time closing; coordinating journal entry preparation & monitoring and communicating the status of the P&L and Balance Sheet
Analyze financial data, identify and report progress toward plan commitments, financial performance achievements and trends, and identify opportunities to influence financial performance
With the help of his/her team, the financial controller builds the budget which he/she changes throughout the year
Prepare annual plan and deploy associated targets
Participate in weekly P&L meetings with focus on articulating week-over-week changes and minimizing variances at closing (forecast fidelity)
Coordinate compliance across all scopes and disciplines, ensuring the self-audits are completed comprehensively and timely and gaps are documented and closed
Lead and develop team of financial professionals
With the help of the accountant and support services, the financial controller controls the various statements and declarations
Perform ad hoc analyses as requested by the BU Controller, Plant Manager, and other leadership
Ensure integrity of all account reconciliations (both local and centralized) and miscellaneous inventory adjustments.
Master's degree in finance or accounting
Minimum of 10 years financial analysis experience, preferably as Plant Controller
Robust background in cost accounting and/or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment
Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, with a self-motivated, team-oriented perspective
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to learn quickly, work on multiple concurrent assignments and complete assignments in a timely and organized approach
