Job Description
We are seeking a Training Specialist who is an enthusiastic and experienced facilitator to lead and guide new employees as they begin their careers in a world-class manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and organizational skills and has a passion for creating a fun and informative learning environment. This role requires a candidate who can quickly become a working subject matter expert across many areas of manufacturing and successfully work with cross-functional departments to assess training needs.

This requires a candidate who can quickly become a working subject matter expert across many areas of manufacturing, and successfully work with cross-functional departments to assess training needs. Duties include training development, scheduling, facilitating training classes, collaborating with stakeholders to determine training needs and preparing reports.
Responsibilities
Collect and understand information from different stakeholders and be able to facilitate the content clearly.
Lead and facilitate group workshops, training sessions, and hands-on activities.
Organize session content, including material and activity preparation.
Ensure participants stay engaged and on track during the training sessions.
Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.
Maintain training facility and equipment and proactively anticipate equipment needs.
Execute learning strategies and programs based on the needs of the business.
Measure learning effectiveness through participation in hands-on activities and assessments.
Ensure training sessions are delivered on time and meet the intended learning objectives.
Interact with shop departmental leaders to resolve training concerns and drive process improvements.
Assist in the development of training materials and resources as needed.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
Proven experience as a facilitator, trainer, or a similar role.
Advanced facilitation skills.
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Advanced problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing systems and lean manufacturing is a plus.
Ability to work independently.
Strong communication, planning, and organizing skills.
Advanced presentation skills.
Strong listening skills.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
Project planning experience.
Work Environment
The position is based in a world-class manufacturing facility. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional departments and requires maintaining and anticipating the needs of the training facility and equipment. The work environment encourages a safe and inclusive atmosphere that fosters open communication and collaboration.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
