UL, LLC Laboratory Technician- HVAC in Carugate, Italy

As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an HVAC Laboratory Technician to be based at our office in Carugate (MI).

Dedicated to our Consumer and Commercial Clients, you will be managing and delivering new engineering projects from start to finish, throughout the whole project lifecycle. You will know ULs certification systems, services and processes well to partner with and assist our customers in their product safety certification journey. You will complete work that matters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Examine test samples and read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments and operational instructions

  • Build and/or adapt setup and test equipment to new situations, based on data sheets and instructions from engineering department

  • Operate designated machines and special laboratory equipment; perform routine maintenance of designated test equipment and laboratory area

  • Evaluate test performance and review test to construct data with a senior member of the team

  • When required, communicate with the Engineering department to discuss additional follow-up tests, samples, equipment, methods and/or results

  • University Degree, "Istituto Tecnico" diploma or equivalent directly related experience (noise and performance testing ideally)

  • Basic knowledge of standards (EN14511; ISO3744) is a plus

  • Able to build rapport and communicate effectively with Clients and Laboratory colleagues

  • Good command of English (written mainly)

  • Outstanding project management, record and time keeping skills
