Job Description
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.The Database Release Management team is responsible for managing the release of Database Products across various distributions. We are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager with prior enterprise experience to manage the high-quality requirements for the Database releases. As part of the Database organization in Oracle, you will be continually challenged and have an opportunity to contribute to the success of the product that put Oracle on the map. This is a challenging role with lots of responsibilities and visibility across the organization.
Roadmap / Planning:
Proven skills successfully delivering software from planning to delivery
Work with internal stakeholders to bring structure and technical direction while implementing complex, project-based processes
Executive progress updates and cross line-of-business presentations
Risk Management:
Closely monitor progress; Manage issues and risks within scope of project
Proactively manage changes in scope, identify and mitigate potential risks
Escalate as appropriate
Quality and Stability:
Enforce and improve development processes through the project
Earmark problem areas and apply learnings through the development groups
Continually add incremental and long-term quality and stability goals
Qualifications:
BS or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
5+ years of experience delivering technical products and projects in a highly technical environment.
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Technical program management experience over multiple release cycles or lifecycles for enterprise products or services.
Comfortable presenting to large internal groups and leadership team members.
Ability to turn broad statements of direction into actionable, achievable outcomes.
Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders to prioritize work, remove barriers, and keep organizational focus.
Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence and analytical skills.
Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations and individuals.
Ability to work independently, defining and managing one’s own work while still providing transparency and accountability to management and other interested parties
Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
Being hands-on and willing to delve deeper into engineering problems if needed.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end roadmap planning, risk management, and quality as well as stability of database service that is the backbone of numerous deliverables.

Manage the development and implementation of a product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
Lead multiple technology projects and product features.
Work across multiple virtual teams with differing timelines and objectives.
Define milestones, success criteria, manage dependencies and deliver iteratively.
Monitor the project from initiation through delivery.
Create and enhance development process and tools.
Develop and own communication plans to communicate program status, issues and risks effectively and proactively to stakeholders.
Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints.
Manage stakeholder expectations across the organization.
Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
Presenting to large internal executives and leadership team members.
Ability to work independently, defining and managing one’s own work while still providing transparency and accountability to management and other interested parties.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $78,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
