Lead CMA/Certified Medical Assistant – Digestive Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together *Sign-On for Eligible New Hires* Work location: 4221 Medical Parkway, Suite 150, Carrollton, TX 75010 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p Travel: 25% to surrounding Plano clinic as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided ) Digestive Specialists Clinic Highlights:

Here’s What You Need
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)
4 years Medical Assistant experience (required)
Previous Lead or Supervisor experience (strongly preferred)
BCLS Upon Hire (strongly preferred)
Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
Demonstrate knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.
Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
Demonstrated attitude of respect and compassion towards patients, family members and all members of the healthcare team.
Good computer skills using a medical management application.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Lead Certified Medical Assistant Process
Directs and guides back office staff in monitoring and expediting workflow.
Handles medical supply inventory, orders, and cost control.
Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
Obtains and records vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem.
Communicates with patients regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician.
Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests, and examination results in the medical record.
Works with the Healthcare Provider to facilitate training of new hires and other training initiatives.
