Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Carmel, Indiana
Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable Processes: Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice verification, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, resolve payment discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
Supervise AP Team: Lead and supervise a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline accounts payable procedures.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations, including timely reporting and accurate documentation.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and payment schedules to optimize cash management and support financial planning.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts payable status, aging analysis, and other relevant metrics for management review.
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
