Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Carmel, Indiana

Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable Processes: Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice verification, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, resolve payment discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms when necessary.

  • Supervise AP Team: Lead and supervise a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline accounts payable procedures.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations, including timely reporting and accurate documentation.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and payment schedules to optimize cash management and support financial planning.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts payable status, aging analysis, and other relevant metrics for management review.

  • Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.

  • Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
