The CNC Programmer will be responsible for generating CNC Turret Punch Press, reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting design specifications, and performing quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. You will enter information provided by Order Entry Department into the manufacturing system.

This role will be based on-site at our Pioneer Industries manufacturing facility located in Carlstadt, NJ.

You would also:

  • Programming of components for release to production. Orders range from basic stock to the highest level of custom orders and detailing.

  • Handle technical inquiries from manufacturing and order entry team.

  • Communicate with Lister on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.

  • Provide technical and problem-solving support to manufacturing.

  • Interpret hardware templates and utilize correct coding macro.

  • Continually promotes a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy.

    The Skills and Experience you need :

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering Technology, preferred.

  • Two (2) – five (5) year’s CAD/CAM systems, required.

  • Previous experience in a metal working shop, preferred.

  • Previous experience in commercially available systems, required.

  • B asic math skills required - Basic Geometry and Algebra math skills.

  • Demonstrated intermediate-level math skills with a familiarity and proficiency relating to Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry.

  • Excellent computer skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, email, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills, and a sense of urgency are required.

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk daily through manufacturing facility (101,000 sq ft).

  • Ability to work on weekends, when needed.

  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Occasional overtime required.
