You'll be part of the Global Service & Support (GSS) team's R&D group. Your work will be amplified by the 2000+ colleagues providing worldwide customer service, by making their jobs more enjoyable!

A Day In The Life:

  • Work on a wide range of projects (both web and desktop apps) in a small startup-like team with global reach interacting with qPCR, DNA sequencers, flow cytometers and other hi-tech lab instruments.

  • Tech stack includes JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, databases & cloud services. Your products will transform telemetry data into actionable insights and provide tools that enable our colleagues to deliver an outstanding service experience to our customers.

  • As a senior member of the team, you'll advocate for best practices and influence/design processes to follow the trends in our craft. Your innovation will have significant impact on our future success, and we'll celebrate our achievements together.

Keys to Success:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, Master’s degree is highly preferred

Experience

  • 7+ years of commercial experience in software development

  • Built multi-tier, scalable backends and single page frontends, but is also able to jump into data visualization frameworks like PowerBI

  • Previous experience in testing, testability and test-driven development

  • Experience with hardware-software codesign is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • You're a phenomenal teammate skilled in the relevant technologies (see above), embracing the Agile development methodologies

  • You value simplicity and scalability in software architecture, design, and practices

  • You're able to effectively document and communicate software design artifacts, willing to ask difficult questions, try new things, and greet challenge and change as opportunity.

  • You don't get lost in somebody else’s code and know how to use the command line and shell scripts

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $118,600.00–$160,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
