Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our fast-paced and dynamic Estimating Team in our Carlsbad, CA office. As a Junior Estimator, you will:
Prepare estimates to determine the cost of assigned scopes-of-work on a variety of large construction projects
Learn the ins-and-outs of construction trades, building systems, and estimating software
Collaborate with a team of seasoned estimating professionals
Compete with the team to win multi-million-dollar projects for RQ
Build relationships with subcontractors and vendors for accurate and competitive bidding

Requirements to be a Junior Estimator are as follows:
A BA/BS degree in engineering or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field is qualifying.
One year experience (or equivalent) in architectural/engineering/construction estimating and related functions, including planning, techniques, and contracting preferred.
Conceptual and Hard-Bid estimating preferred.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.) required.
Specific software literacy (On-Screen Take Off, Adobe Reader, etc.) preferred.
Previous work experience in the construction design-build industry, including work with contractors and subcontractors in public markets is preferred.
