How will you make an impact?

We are seeking a strong candidate to work within Operations with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, manufacturing and R&D scientists.

What will you do?

  • Tasks will encompass existing flow cytometry and imaging platforms as well as new product introductions.

  • Specific duties will include, but not limited to, repair, maintenance and field support of instrumentation, root cause analysis, used case and process development.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses.

  • Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple product groups and systems.

  • Opportunity to establish operating equipment specifications and improve manufacturing techniques as well as assisting with resolving technical scientific issues.

  • Reviewing existing operational and process discrepancies in manufacturing and providing technical scientific expertise to improve procedures.

  • Some possible responsibilities:

  • Assist R&D engineers with hardware design through testing subcomponents. Setup experimental designs to provide root cause reporting.

  • Analyze data, derive conclusions, document findings, write SOPs and prepare reports for sharing within and between R&D groups

  • Troubleshoot instrument failures and seek out specialized help as needed. Provide detailed and accurate repair and maintenance records of all incoming products. Report out any improvements that could be derived and provide guidance as to path forward.

  • Support EHS duties, hazardous waste management and lab organization

  • Additional duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED with 5 or more years of experience

  • B.S. in applicable Science or Engineering field with 2-4 years of experience in system engineering or medical devices.

Experience

  • Experience in optics, electromechanical and microfluidics systems within the biomedical sector is preferred.

  • Must have good analytical and written communication skills as well as a strong background in optical/electromechanical systems and microfluidics.

  • Experience with a variety of laboratory devices and instrumentation, specifically flow cytometry, optics based instruments, and automation.

  • In addition to impeccable technical skills, successful candidates possess good organizational, communication and team skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project management skills preferred.

  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
