Description
Shift into high-gear with this opportunity as an Accounting Clerk in Carlsbad! Join a reputable automotive dealership where you’ll support the accounting department's daily operations. This is a fast-paced role, ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who loves working with numbers and ensuring accuracy in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts payable and receivable records by coding, inputting, and reconciling invoices.
Audit and process payments for dealership expenses, ensuring vendor accounts are current.
Record customer payments, balance cash receipts daily, and reconcile bank statements.
Assist in maintaining vehicle inventory accounts and keeping records of purchases, sales, and adjustments.
Support monthly close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
Work closely with the sales, service, and HR teams to ensure smooth financial operations across the dealership.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting preferred.
1-3 years of experience in an accounting role, ideally in the automotive industry.
Proficient in accounting software (experience with dealership management systems like Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK Global is a huge advantage).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effortlessly with cross-functional teams.
