POSITION OVERVIEW AITC is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist - Intermediate to provide configuration management functional support for the network enterprise. RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES *Provide configuration management functional support to continue standardized planning, design, implementation, installation, O&M, and documentation of Communications and Information Technology (C&IT) systems. *Create and update drawings of all information systems circuits, lines, and systems in the Government's CAD program. *Maintain a web-based information database composed of complex maps, cable/fiber configurations, digital and hard copy sketches, diagrams, drawings, photographs, databases, and tables configured in a database management system. The program facilitates centralized management of all data and records associated with information systems installations architectures. *Additional duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS *Requires 4-6 years of practical field experience performing aforementioned responsibilities/duties *Associate degree in a related field *ITIL Foundations within 6 months. *SECRET Clearance *Must be a US citizen. *Able to work Overtime as required. *Must be available to travel as required. *One of the following: oA+ CE oCCNA-Security oCND oNetwork+ CE oSSCP *Demonstrated experience: oSupporting configuration management of military communications systems. oSupporting configuration management planning; describing provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. oAbility to support configuration planning and maintaining configuration change control. oFamiliarity with CM aspects of the Department of Defense (DOD) acquisition processes for systems, software, and hardware under the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF). oConfiguration management standards. PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE *Bachelor's degree in a related field *Knowledgeable in Army Network Enterprise Center operations *Trained in the use of the Government CAD software system *Ability to utilize Global Positioning System (GPS) SW, equipment, plotters, and scanners; follow circuit paths, circuit diagrams, schematic cable, fiber runs, northing, easting and elevation in geospatial format for engineering drawings; identify circuit components; and document all Data types as prescribed by the COR PHYSICAL DEMANDS *Predominantly indoors in normal office environment *Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach *Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English *May require frequent computer use for several hours at a time *Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions *Must have visual acuity *Must be able to lift up-to 10 pounds COMPENSATION Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience, expertise, education, and potential.
