Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Commander Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia (CNREURAFSWA}, Capodichino, Italy The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. Responsibilities You will Assists in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers. You will use a wide range of standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and/or financial administrative processes. You will compile, analyze, and summarizes financial and/or budget information related to assigned areas of a financial program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-7) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advises others on policies and procedures of budgeting, accounting or financial management to support financial management operations; 2) Utilizing office automation software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, databases) in support of financial management; 3) Compiling data to prepare budget and accounting reports; and 4) Applying regulations, policies and operating instructions to support financial management operations. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
