General Summary:
The Associate Athletic Director of Compliance and Academics under general direction, oversees compliance programs for teams, departments, and other constituents, with regards to compliance with rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), applicable Conferences, and the University. Develops and manages the develo11ment of a comprehensive compliance program.
Responsibilities:
Manages daily compliance operations of the Athletic Compliance Office to ensure strict adherence to rules and regulations for amateurism, eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, awards and benefits, playing and practice seasons, and enforcement.
Creates, maintains, and monitors compliance monitoring mechanisms that support athletic programs and student athletes.
Adheres to and monitors NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.
Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Provides rule interpretations and coordinates educational programs and resources. Stays abreast of modern trends, techniques, and strategies by attending clinics, workshops, and continued training on NCAA rules and regulations.
Develops and instructs comprehensive and continuing rule education programs for coaches.
Produces, publishes, and distributes rules education materials.
Assists with preparation of standard NCAA institutional reports.
Monitors recruiting activities and maintenance of recruiting logs.
Conducts investigations and applies penalties as appropriate.
Reports any violations of NCAA rules and regulations to the proper officials.
Assists with eligibility certification process for new and continuing student athletes.
Provides compliance related liaison support to campus constituents.
Develop / manage Academic Support services for student-athletes, ensuring they meet NCAA eligibility standards while achieving academic success.
Monitoring and tracking performance /progress toward degree completion.
Collaboration with faculty, advisors, and other staff to ensure academic success.
Direct and supervise staff and graduate assistants, and or student workers as assigned by VP of Athletics.

Necessary Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as well as NIL knowledge. Strong knowledge of the Transfer Portal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Five (5) plus (+) years of related experience.
Proficiency in Teamworks compliance software or other compliance software.
Experience in Academic Management and Support.
Monitoring and tracking performance /progress toward degree completion.
Collaboration with faculty, advisors, and other staff to ensure academic success.
