Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
In this role you will be responsible for providing oversight and visibility in to the operations and compliance with the Supplier Management Program (SMP) requirements for Technology suppliers. The focus will be on acting as a program compliance reporting specialist as well as providing quality assurance monitoring on execution of SMP requirements for the Technology function. In addition, the role will be a primary liaison with SYF Internal Audit on requests, support execution of the Technology supplier Functional Quality Assurance (QA) review program, conduct supplier monitoring quality assurance reviews, and support evaluation of supplier Critical-To-Compliance requirements (where applicable). Partnering with Technology Supplier Managers and the SMP, you will help to ensure that Synchrony achieves compliance with Supplier Management Program requirements and help to identify program gaps so the needed corrective actions can be taken on a timely basis.

Essential Responsibilities:
Support Supplier Management Governance reporting requirements by developing new reports to help identify key Supplier Management program compliance insights.
Leverage reporting tools (Coupa, SAS, Tableau, etc.) to provide needed visibility on Supplier Management program operations.
Contribute to the development of key metrics to measure and predict supplier risk and identify potential opportunities for SM program efficiency.
Provide oversight to the Technology supplier Functional Quality Assurance (QA) evaluation program by coordinating development of the annual supplier QA review plan, support program continuous improvement, and provide guidance on ensuring the key supplier service risks are reviewed as part of the supplier QA review playbook; participate in selected supplier QA reviews (both physically and virtually).
Represent the Technology Supplier Management function on the Supplier Surveillance Community of Practice (CoP) calls that are held by the Supplier Management Program (SMP).
Act as the subject matter expert for Technology supplier Critical-To-Compliance (CTC) reviews. Work with Supplier Managers to identify Technology supplier L3 processes supported and related CTCs applicable to the supplier services; identify and execute the approach to test applicable supplier CTC controls in line with the Supplier Management Program Procedure (SYF SYB 2500.8 Supplier Compliance).
Perform Supplier Monitoring Validation Reviews for Technology suppliers (7-10 each month) to review compliance with Supplier Management Program requirements, identify and report program gaps/deficiencies, and engage with Supplier Managers to ensure corrective actions are taken by logging risks/observations (where applicable).
Perform oversight review of Supplier Manager Information Request Forms (SMIRF) to provide reasonableness check on the form content, specifically whether the Supplier Managers have included L3 Process(es) that the suppliers are supporting.
Primary liaison with SYF Internal Audit on requests. Create standard response to audit requests and assist in establishing the scope of the audit and manage the auditor's expectations for monitoring activity evidence. Monitor communications to address any gaps identified and to ensure auditors are staying within the agreed upon scope.
Ensure the Supplier Management teams are maintaining an 'audit ready' posture and are executing supplier monitoring activities consistently. Ensure Governance team provides support to the Supplier Managers to prepare for audits as needed.
Liaise with the SMP to ensure requirements and guidelines are embedded into the standard working procedures for Supplier Managers
Ensure the TechOps SM Governance function is taking an active role in supporting the SM community by obtaining and disseminating SMP guidance, performing process quality checks, and providing direction on process execution. Share best practices with Supplier Managers
Identify insights on program performance gaps to help drive improvement in tools, processes, and knowledge across the SM team.
Work with and influence peer group of Supplier Management Leads to ensure SM teams are executing supplier monitoring consistently to help anticipate and mitigate supplier risk.
Assess whether supplier monitoring activities generate insight into key risks and help drive the right business decisions that support the overall TechOps strategy
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years' experience in business or technology or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience
5+ years of experience with Supplier Management activities in a Financial Services, or other highly regulated industry
Minimum 5 years of Financial Services experience
Familiarity performing surveillance and/or program quality assurance monitoring activities
Surveillance or quality assessment testing execution and documentation skills
Desired Characteristics:
Experience working in a regulated industry
Familiarity with Critical-To-Compliance (CTC) concepts and compliance testing approaches
Knowledge of Synchrony Supplier Management program activities (or Supplier Management activities performed at other companies)
Comfortable reviewing industry-accepted supplier control reports (Example: SOC1, SOC2, ISO27001, etc.)
Ability to develop annual surveillance testing schedules and deliver against the plan
Ability to provide SM program performance insights and identify potential areas for optimization or efficiency
Working knowledge of current financial services technologies
Very well organized with a proven ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and adhere to tight timelines

Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post.
