The Learning Resource Center Specialist position serves as the main point-of-contact for students using the Learning Resource Center.  Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, student check-in and check-out, assistance with computer-based learning systems, basic computer guidance, course tutoring, and general student assistance and development.  

 

Responsibilities

 

Manage day-to-day operations of Learning Resource Center. Greet and engage every student that visits the Learning Resource Center. Offer and conduct tutoring in a variety of automotive subjects. Assist students with computer-based learning systems. Maintain clean and organized study environment. Report individual and trending issues to proper Management and/or Directorship. Ensures all Learning Resource Center equipment is in good working order. Keeps accurate records of student usage Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Education / Experience High School Diploma or GED required Airframe and Powerplant License required Skills Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Exceptional computer and online application skills. Self-starter, ability to work efficiently without direct supervision. Strong motivational skills. People and leadership skills and abilities. Abilities Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday. Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday. Work Environment Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment.
