Myers Equipment Truck Assembler/Mechanic in Canfield, Ohio
SERVICE GENERAL LABOR Job Summary: We are searching for someone who is a hard worker to upfit all the vehicles we service at our location. This could include, attaching snow plows, installing cameras in school buses, adding utility beds to trucks, spraying liners, etc. We do not do engine work. Products Serviced & Sold: School Buses, Commercial Buses, Ambulances, Flat Beds, Service/Utility Beds, Dump Beds, Bed Liners, Custom Fabrication Duties/Responsibilities: · Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. · Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. · Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists. · Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. · Conducts quality control checks. · Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. · Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. · Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. · Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. · Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturers instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. · Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. · Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education and Experience: · High School Diploma or GED Must have valid driver's license · One year related experience · Willing to train the right candidate for position Physical Requirements: · Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times. · Exposed to all weather elements at times.
