Fluidra is seeking a Rails Production Supervisor to join the team at our S.R. Smith office in Canby, OR.

The Production Rails Supervisor works as a player/coach to plan and supervise all activities of the Rails department in our Canby, OR manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor ensures high quality, timely production of our products.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

  • Using the company values as guiding principles, motivate, train and develop direct reports.

  • Plan and direct the department workflow and employee assignments.

  • Ensure process equipment and machinery is operational and partner with Facilities Maintenance to immediately address machinery downtime.

  • Facilitate communications between the business and assigned team.

  • Coordinate with other departments to optimize the use of people, equipment, space and materials.

  • Ensure all orders are produced and packaged accurately, damage-free, and on time.

  • In partnership with manager, develop, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures.

  • Promote Quality Assurance standards and participate in continuous process improvement.

  • Proactively ensure work area, tools and equipment are maintained to keep the department clean, safe and production ready.

  • Coordinate with manager and HR to handle human resource matters such as: hiring, terminations, discipline, safety compliance, training, and attendance.

  • Participate in the Company Safety Plan which includes being part of the safety committee and promoting adherence to safety procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

    WHAT WE SEEK

  • Proven experience as a people leader in a production environment, with responsibility for training, motivating and recognizing employees.

  • Strong work history in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to keep a fast paced, multi-function department organized and operating efficiently.

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.

  • Good communication skills in facilitating team solutions.

  • Good understanding of Lean manufacturing practices.

  • Ability to use office productivity tools, such as: email, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work within Epicor.

  • Experience with roto mold, welding, powder coating and roll forming.

    EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent
