The Opportunity:

The Supply Chain Management Officer is responsible for logistics operations pertaining to KBR customer’s inventory. This includes supporting operational outcomes for defence customers, including shipping, delivery and inventory management in accordance with defence quality and safety standards. The Supply Chain Management Officer will coordinate with warehousing staff, OEM suppliers and existing Defence supply-support facilities and distribution services via the Defence Integrated Distribution System (DIDS).

A working knowledge of Defence ICT asset systems (such as TAMIT and/or MILIS) is crucial in support KBR customers manage, issue (including packaging), and dispose of inventory. The Supply Chain Management Officer will also support routine maintenance of assets (surface maintenance, Electrical Integrity Testing etc.) and reconciliation against relevant Configuration Management Databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the codification, cataloguing and disposal of Defence ICT Assets

  • Assist in 6 monthly reconciliations with CIs within the Configuration Management Database

  • Develop and maintain an asset inventory level, including accuracy of records within TAMIT and or MILIS

  • Conduct surface maintenance (dusting/vacuuming, charging etc.)

  • Manage Scheduled Electrical Integrity Testing (EIT) and tagging of physical assets

  • Update Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and relevant Asset management systems and provide reporting and required certificates for items that have been securely disposed of

  • Ensure the items are fit for purpose, meet the power, weight, heat and size requirements, pass the Land Material Safety Manual (LMSM), Defence Seaworthiness and ICT Technical Regulation requirements

  • Coordinate warehousing and transportation of goods with OEM suppliers or existing Defence supply-support facilities and distribution services

  • Support transportation (including safe hand and packaging) of Defence ICT equipment between military operation and exercise areas, including ships/platforms

    As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Defence recognised SCM qualifications and experience with Supply Chain Management tools and technology (e.g. MILIS, TAMIT)

  • Excellent organisation, time management, and accuracy when multitasking across multiple activities and deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels including internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, building trusting, respectful and resilient professional relationships

  • NV1 Security clearance (with the ability to upgrade to NV2 if required)

Desirable:

  • Experience within Defence Deployed ICT Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations, Portfolio and Project Integration

  • Previous experience in Defence ICT Warehousing operations and stock control with relevant qualification in Warehouse Operations and Record-keeping

  • Forklift License

  • Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) with experience with inventory and planning software packages

  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team under limited supervision, prioritising tasks, following through to completion

  • Ability to problem solve and analytical skills with the ability to reason logically especially during high pressure situations

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong customer focus and be responsive to customer and other ICT Partners needs

  • Experience with ASDEFCON and commercial activities within the Department of Defence
