Thompson Health Staff Accountant II in Canandaigua, New York

Description

Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday

Main Function: Assists with various accounting functions related to all system corporations as assigned.

Job Specific Competencies:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards and exhibits strong accounting skills.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and in-group settings.

  • Exhibits flexibility in decision-making and prioritizing assignments.

  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, department managers and executive team.

  • Actively contributes suggestions for cost-saving areas within the Health System.

  • Assists other members of the Finance Department in projects as needed and is a team player.

  • Demonstrate support of the Thompson Way program in various activities.

  • Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

Qualifications:

  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel

Education:

  • Required Bachelors degree in Accounting or comparable amount of work related experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two to three year’s financial accounting experience.

Pay Range: $31.00 - $35.00

Starting Pay: Based on experience
