Responsible for leading/coordinating the planning and reforecasting process, financial and management reporting activities, financial analysis and modeling, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles./ _ Key Accountabilities_ * Serve as a key member of the AW2030 Program Management Team. * Participate in strategy development and leading the resulting financial plan to achieve targets and objectives that support the overall Program. * Coordinate on the development/updates of program budget, monthly and annual reporting, monthly reforecasting and analysis of financial risk. * Provide analytical support to the Program. * Coordinate impacts and forecasting of depreciation to Service Company and state assets as impacted by AW2030. * Collaborate with business partners in divisional finance operations and corporate finance. * Coordinate impacts and forecasting to state opex budget as impacted by AW2030. * Coordinate impacts and financial modeling data requests with state operating companies as impacted by AW2030. * Provide financial guidance and serve as AW2030 point of contact for all other finance related activities – corporate regulatory, treasury, general accounting, plant accounting, internal audit, state regulatory and finance. * Coordinate and drive financial discussions/requests with all other finance departments. * Coordinate and provide business case financial support for AW2030 program/projects. * Coordinate and provide financial support for requirements requested by corporate and state regulatory teams as related to AW2030. May be requested to support rate case testimony and cost recovery. _ Knowledge/Skills_ * Confident professional with strong relationships. * Understands the AW business and its unique culture. * Strong communication skills; Presents data in an organized manner to all levels of the organization. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Strong financial analysis and modeling skills. * Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills. * Focus on quality and excellence. * Strong cross-functional leader. * Thorough knowledge of business planning and budgeting, accounting. Knowledge of GAAP. * Advanced knowledge of financial systems, frameworks and functionality. * Proven ability to work effectively at different levels in the organization, across functional areas, and with vendors like consultants. * High personal and professional integrity and strong work ethic. * Results orientation, willingness to commit to a direction and drive change. * Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once while keeping an eye on the big picture and documenting progress; Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail. * Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on approach and success in working in a highly matrixed organization. _ Experience/Education_ * Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Advanced degree or CPA, CMA or CFA preferred * Minimum 5 years of experience years progressive experience in finance and/or operational business role with finance background. * Prior experience in finance leadership position * 2 years supervisory experience preferred. Work Environment * This position requires the selected candidate to work a 3:2 hybrid schedule - 3-days working in office, 2-days working remotely. * This position requires the selected candidate to work within the American Water footprint.
