Lab Technician – Interviews Happening This Week
Location: Camden, NJ
Compensation: $35.00 to 38.00 an hour
Duration: 9 months contract to hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lab Technician to join our small but dynamic laboratory team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong chemistry background and hands-on experience in oil testing and quality control. You’ll be working in a well-established company that has been a trusted partner to major utility companies like PSE&G since 1957.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized testing on used motor oil, including:
Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point
BS&W by Centrifuge
pH testing
PCB testing using Gas Chromatography (GC)
Total Halogens using Dexsil Test Kit
Follow all lab safety protocols and SOPs
Accurately document and report test results
Maintain lab equipment and cleanliness
Collaborate with team members and report to Lab Supervisors (Sandip/Tom)
Must-Have Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
3+ years of laboratory testing experience, specifically with PCBs using GC
2+ years of experience with BS&W, Flash Point, and Total Halogens testing using Dexsil Test Kit
Proficiency with pH meters and general laboratory procedures
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with wet chemistry techniques
Background in oil testing and quality control
Familiarity with writing or following SOPs

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
