    Job Description

FULLSTACK SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (Angular, Spring Boot, AWS), Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE)-PAIA consortium, to support the PAIA research team with implementing the infrastructure necessary to develop tools for streamlined carbon foot printing. Will participate in all development aspects and be charged with realizing a number of software-based solutions to implement the consortium’s strategic goals and methods for achieving them; run day-to-day operations; and sustain an environment where those from a variety of disciplines can access output from the consortium in a way that enables synergistic collaborative efforts. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer engineering or related engineering field; three years’ experience/familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot framework, Python, HTML/CSS, WordPress, and Android and/or iOS platforms; two years’ experience in a production software position that included responsibility for significant implementations; comfort with a variety of programming paradigms, including functional programming in dynamic languages, server-side technologies, and web client technologies; three years’ experience working with teams developing and refining computer codes for applications in interdisciplinary activities; familiarity with current work in educational technology; ability to design programming tools for learners; general familiarity with Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or related ML code and version control workflows (e.g., Git and GitHub/GitLab); understanding of product development; experience with Rest APIs; proficiency with Angular (Angular Dart); experience with AWS; experience with SQL databases (MySQL preferred); knowledge of Docker; effective written communication and presentation skills; and an interest in education and fostering creativity.
