Position Description
The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University anticipates one or more possible openings for a full-time Language Instructor/Teaching Assistant in Korean expected to begin August 1, 2025 and to extend through June 30, 2026. Language instructors will work with course heads in Korean language classes, assist in preparation of teaching materials, and teach individual small group sections. The position will be a term appointment for one year, with the possibility of renewal dependent on performance and curricular need, for up to a total of eight years.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in Korean; a master’s degree or higher; and experience teaching Korean at the college level.
Additional Qualifications
Experience teaching multiple levels of Korean is preferred.
