ManpowerGroup Jr. Building Engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Building Operating Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational integrity of the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Building Operating Engineer
Location: Cambridge, MA
What's the Job?
Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and technical proficiency.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance levels.
Record equipment readings and make adjustments as necessary for proper operation.
Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
What's Needed?
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and work order platforms.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
