The In-vitro Biology (IVB) group within the Integrated Drug Discovery (IDD) platform at Sanofi (Cambridge, MA) is a multidisciplinary R&D team dedicated to small molecule drug discovery. Our co-op program offers young minds a chance for personal development and network enrichment within pharma settings. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strict attention to details and excellent communication. With appropriate guidance and supervision, they will be responsible for development and validation of a variety of biophysical assays used for testing compounds against macromolecular targets, and meticulously documenting their work. As part of project teams, they will work collaboratively with peers across the company (medicinal chemists, biochemists, biologists, DMPK scientists), presenting their results at team meetings. The successful candidate must be motivated to excel in both individual and team environments.
Main Responsibilities:
Work with more senior scientists to support current projects
Work with automated liquid handlers (i.e. Multidrop, Echo) and biophysical instrumentation (i.e. Biacore, Nanotemper)
Implement biophysical assays to characterize binding of small molecules to macromolecular targets
Analyze data and present results to internal meetings
Document activities and results in electronic notebook
Maintain a clean working space
ABOUT YOU
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree majoring in Biophysics, Biochemistry, or related biomedical field, anticipating a graduation date of Spring 2025 or 2026
Knowledge of chemistry and biology
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Motivated, a keen mind with strict attention to details
