Role and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for properly fastening the panels of drywall to the wood or metal interior framework of a building; cutting the drywall to fit and the metal and wood studs to size; and finishing by applying drywall trims.
- Professional work.
- Framing of walls and ceilings.
- Light gauge and structural steel studs.
- Cutting the panels for doors, windows, electrical outlets, lighting, HVAC and plumbing fixtures.
- Carrying and accurately installing drywall.
- Attach drywall to the walls.
- Cutting metal and wood studs to size.
- Applying drywall trims.
- Insulating wall and ceiling cavities.
- Cuts and installs metal ceiling grid, with metal, wood, mineral fiber, or drywall ceiling panels.
- Clean up.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2 years' experience preferred but will train.
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
