Warehouse Lead - Inventory
Location: Carpinteria
Pay: 22-24/hour
Our client is one of the biggest manufacturers of lighting technology in the United States. They work on a variety of different projects, often creating the lights used for big stadiums, music venues, and other major events.
We are seeking a smart and diligent shipping and receiving lead to join our clients main operation, which is in Carpenteria, CA.
This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
The Warehouse Lead is one of the key positions inside of the inventory department. Your job is to lead the team to conduct cycle counts of our clients robust inventory of lights, around 60-90 items, and transfer around 55-75 items a day to the various departments.
You will also:
Monitor the progress of the work order and assign associates to specific parts of the order to get everything done.
Report inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor
Assist production with any requests for parts, and ensure that those parts are ready to go.
Assist Shipping and Receiving to verify the orders coming in, and to ensure that your team has the right items ready to go.
Contributing and developing SOPs and documenting the Standard Work Order
Overseeing inventory transactions and material replenishments
Reporting inappropriate conduct, if needed
Occasionally training other warehouse candidates on various functions (like to properly hold the item, how to print off the shipping labeletc.)
Assisting the warehouse team members on all duties.
Other projects as needed.
This is what we will be looking for in your candidacy:
You have at least 3+ years of inventory leadership experience
You know how to manage a team, and you have demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a similar environment.
You have strong computer and communication skills.
You know how to use MS Office products like Word and Excel
You are proficient in inventory management software, like NetSuite, HighJump, SAP, or others.
You are fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
You are familiar with inventory parts (3-6 months to reach proficiency).
You have a high school diploma or higher level of education.
