SNYDER ASSOCIATED COMPANIES INC Accounts Payable / Accounting Coordinator in Cabot, Pennsylvania

The Accounts Payable / Accounting Coordinator is directly responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process/Code invoices for payment
  • Process weekly check run
  • Process online tax payments & automated vendor payments
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for Controller
  • Prepare reconciliations of various accounts as requested by Controller
  • Serve as back up for Sales Coordinator by answering customer calls, entering orders and arranging deliveries of product
  • Provide support and serve as backup for Payroll Coordinator
  • Enter and apply daily deposits in sales system
  • Sort and distribute daily mail

     

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

  • Complete and distribute 1099's
  • Prepare annual reports for Controller
  • Order office supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

     

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Associates Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting position

     

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Proficiently detail oriented
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Able to multi-task
