Role: Material Planner

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, (DE13 8EN) – (Onsite)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00pm and Friday 07:30am to 12:30pm, 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

What you will be doing…

  • Coordinate planning and control of supplier orders, schedules, and forecasts.

  • Manage materials and support engineering change, project/program launch and run out with minimal business impact.

  • Generate and control supplier performance to achieve key performance indicators.

  • Manage component availability issues, escalate, and communicate effectively to ensure closure and eliminate reoccurrence.

  • Review forecast material requirements, report supply chain concerns/ability to meet customer orders, and implement inventory optimisation strategies.

  • Deliver supply chain solutions in project teams, undertake other material planner activities as instructed, and maintain health and safety practices.

Are you an individual with the following?

  • Previous experience within a Planning role is desirable

  • Able to work autonomously with strong planning and organisational skills

  • Good problem-solving/negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to present information to all levels

  • IT literate
