Kindred Supports LLC Direct Support Professional in Burnsville, Minnesota
Job Summary: The Direct Support Professional assists individuals with enhancing daily living skills, supports individuals to accomplish program outcomes and facilitates community involvement. Schedule: Rotating weekends. 2nd and 4th weekend of each month: Friday: 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm Saturday: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday: 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm Duties Include: - Must be able to follow safety practices, protocols, and directives per each individual s plan and company policies to maintain the individual s health and safety. - Assist with daily living skills and community involvement to further the individuals level of independence. - Transport individuals to activities. - Assist in hygiene and personal care including toileting. - Complete general housekeeping (dishes, laundry, snow removal, lawn care, etc.) - Implement and document individuals program outcomes. - Apply positive behavior techniques. - Successfully pass all required training. - Push, pull, bend, and lift to 50 pounds. - Must respond to and react to incidents and emergencies quickly. - Basic computer skills (i.e.: email, timesheets, etc) - Adhere to the rules of conduct and employment expectations as outlined in the employee handbook.
