Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic
Job Description
Seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our service and repair team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and repairs on large service truck modules, including vacuum and airflow systems, water systems, and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities include working under specific orders and timeframes within a team of 4 other technicians. Occasional travel is required for on-site repairs and maintenance.
Hard Skills
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic certification
2+ years experience troubleshooting electrical components
Ability to read and write English for documenting work and using computer systems
Proficiency in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics
Possession of personal tools
Soft Skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Adaptability to both shop and field work
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in BURNABY, British Columbia.
Work Environment
Join a tight-knit team in a well-established dealership setting, encompassing parts, sales, and service. The role involves primarily indoor shop work, with some outdoor bay responsibilities. Reports to the shop manager. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. The position offers competitive wages ranging from $35 to $45 per hour based on experience and qualifications, with regular reviews and potential raises. A $200 yearly boot allowance is available post-probation
