Summary
Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
Consults catalogs and communicates with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
Execute POs in a timely manner based on either MRP signals or non-inventory requirements.
Interface with the company MRP system and take the steps necessary to maintain system accuracy.
Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates and awards orders to suppliers.
Purchase goods and services of appropriate quality and correct quantity from qualified suppliers.
Work with suppliers to resolve delivery and quality issues in a timely manner.
Verifies bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders and approves bills for payment.
