Network Control Center Analyst I Three - 12.5 hour shifts

Overview: The Network Control Center Analyst will continually ensure the reliability and accountability of the Bank's Infrastructure, Servers and Applications through enterprise based technical monitoring systems. Network Control Center strives to achieve 100% overall telecommunications and application up time by supervised 24 x 7 365 intelligent triage, escalation and tracking to resolution. Our goal is to prevent, maintain and resolve all issues prior to experiencing business impact to our customers, partners and colleagues. This position will be 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to identify, triage and resolve issues. Escalate through proper channels if the problem cannot be resolved .

  • Troubleshoot network issues including but not limited to Routers, Switches, Wireless, Data Circuits, Servers, Vlans, DNS, DHCP, Routing, SAN, VOIP.

  • Rotate in holiday coverage in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment.

  • Build up and maintain relationships with other support functions within M&T Bank.

  • Create and maintain documentation where applicable.

  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with company and/or departmental policies.

  • Manage the Network Control Center queue in Service Manager.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches

  • Working knowledge of data circuits including but not limited to the following technologies (T1's, DSL, Ethernet, PRI, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP)

  • Working knowledge of Servers (Hardware and Software) including experience with Windows server OS, Vmware, HP and Cisco UCS hardware.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a quick paced environment.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • High level of initiative and self-motivation, resourceful, and patient with an iterative process.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and internal support organizations, and quickly determine, manage, and change priorities.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ technical support experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

A+, Network +, Security 4 years Network support experience. We encourage candidates with relevant military experience to apply.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $24.76 - $41.27 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
