SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Provides outpatient Behavioral Treatment Services to individuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders and/or co-occurring disorders in accordance with the performance expectations of a Clinician IV position. Aids the leadership team in supporting new hire clinicians in acclimating to the job specific duties through training, shadowing, and mentoring. Acts as the clinical supervisor in the absence of the Program Manager and Director.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as the clinical supervisor on site in the absence of the Program Manager and Director
Responsible to assist in the training of new hire clinicians
Mentors new hire clinicians through shadowing of sessions, observing the new clinician conduct sessions and offering supervisory feedback
Trains new clinicians on documentation standards
Provides clinical supervision in accordance with agency requirements and regulatory expectations, and oversees site in Program Manager absence.
Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day to day activities
Meets productivity standard of 100% annually
Meets documentation timeliness standards
Demonstrates ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support
Follows Agency policies and procedures
Completes yearly update trainings
Handles intake calls and performs initial assessments commensurate with regulatory requirements
Develops and reviews client individual action plan, objectives and methods consistent with assessment of problem
Conducts individual, group and family sessions
Coordinates services with other staff and other agencies
Implements established treatment plan and provides assigned professional interventions
Contacts collaterals and family members to encourage their participation in client’s treatment as well as their own treatment, if needed
Serves as resource person/consultant to other service providers in identifying clients for referral and works cooperatively with other providers to assure linkage of clients with appropriate services
Prepares reports, maintains clinical files, participates in training and provides statistical materials
Assures that advocacy, linking, expediting and related activities are carried out as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Must possess one of the following:
Credentialing as a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor and five (5) years experience
Licensure as a Social Worker and two (2) years experience
Limited Permit or Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor and two (2) years experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree preferred commensurate with required licensing
Educational qualifications must match regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE:
Experience must match regulatory requirements
Preferred: Two (2) years experience working in the SHHS CCBHC Clinic program
Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
COMPENSATION: $60,000/yr - $75,000/yr
